Life Events
Church is often part of some of life’s biggest moments — welcoming a child, celebrating a marriage, or saying goodbye to someone we love.
At Bramhall Parish Church, we’re here to help you mark those moments with care, prayer and support.

Here when it matters
These moments are about much more than arranging a service.
For some people, contacting the church is familiar. For others, it may be the first time they have spoken to a church in years — or ever. Either is completely fine.
We will talk things through with you, help you understand the choices available, and make sure the service reflects the people and circumstances involved.
You do not need to know what to ask for before getting in touch.
Baptism
Baptism is a joyful celebration of God’s love and welcome.
At a baptism, a person is welcomed into the life of the Church and promises are made about growing in Christian faith. Baptisms can take place for babies, children or adults.
If you are thinking about baptism for your child, or about being baptised yourself, we would love to talk with you.
Weddings
Getting married in church is about more than the setting. It is an opportunity to make your promises before God, surrounded by the people who matter to you.
St Michael’s has been part of family weddings in Bramhall for generations, and we love helping couples prepare for their wedding day.
There are legal requirements around who can marry in a particular Church of England church, but don’t worry about working those out yourself — get in touch and we can talk you through them.
Funerals
When someone dies, there can be a great deal to think about at a time when life already feels overwhelming.
The church is here to help you create a service that gives thanks for the person who has died, makes space for grief, and offers the hope and comfort of the Christian faith.
Whether the service is held at St Michael’s, at a crematorium, or elsewhere, a member of the clergy can talk through what would be most appropriate.
