St. Michael and All Angels Parish Church is a vibrant family of all ages. At the heart of what we do and believe are the values of community, inclusion and discipleship. We are committed to providing a place where people can call home and explore what they believe with our hope being that everyone might find space to connect with God and grow closer to him.
Though church services are by no means the only way to be involved in church life, we hold two "regular" Sunday morning services and a Wednesday morning service every week. This is complemented by a monthly family focussed gathering on a Sunday afternoon.
We started life as a Mission Church Plant from St. Thomas' Church in Stockport in 1890 and since then have grown and developed. Our community life is shaped by our Anglican Heritage and our desire to meet people where they are, as they are.
We want St. Michael’s to be at the heart of the local community and a resource for it. We hire out our premises as part of this commitment, and have different size rooms and availability to suit all sorts of different hiring needs.
Growing in Faith
We believe that to follow Jesus, is to be part of a community of people that are striving to know God more, and to live out our faith in the world, making it a better place.
Everyone at St Michael and All Angels Parish Church takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. You can find further information on Safeguarding on our policy pages.
