Visiting Us

Whether you’re coming to worship, visiting for a community event, or simply exploring what Bramhall Parish Church is like, you are very welcome here.

This page is here to help you know what to expect before you arrive — so your first visit feels relaxed, not awkward.

New Here?

Most weeks, people walk through our doors for the first time.

Some come full of faith, others full of questions, and many somewhere in between. Some come on a Sunday; others arrive for a concert, a children’s activity, or a community event.

However you’re coming, you’re not on your own — and you’re expected.

What Are Services Like?

We have a few different services across the week, but they all share the same heart:
to worship God, hear from the Bible, pray honestly, and grow together as a community.

Sundays

  • 8:00am – A quiet, reflective service

  • 10:00am – Our main family service, with groups for children and young people

  • 6:30pm – A more informal evening service

Services include:

  • music (a mix of traditional and modern styles),

  • Bible readings,

  • a sermon that connects faith with everyday life,

  • prayers,

  • and space to reflect.

You don’t have to join in with everything — you’re free to sit, listen, and take things at your own pace.

Visiting for an Event?

Not everyone comes to Bramhall Parish Church for a Sunday service — and that’s completely okay.

Throughout the year, our building is used for a wide range of community events, many of which are organised in partnership with local groups, schools, charities, and organisations.

If you’re coming to:

  • a concert or performance,

  • a talk, exhibition, or meeting,

  • a children’s or family activity,

  • or another community gathering,

you’re very welcome here.

You won’t be expected to take part in worship unless you want to. Our hope is simply that you feel comfortable, safe, and at ease while you’re with us.

  • Whatever you’re comfortable in.

Some people come in jeans and trainers, others in something a bit smarter.
    There’s no dress code.

  • Children and young people are a valued part of church life here.

At our 10:00am service, we offer age-appropriate groups for children and young people, led by trained and DBS-checked volunteers. Children usually begin the service together and then head out partway through.

If your child would prefer to stay with you throughout the service, that’s absolutely fine too.

Babies, toddlers, wriggles, and noise are all welcome.

  • No.

If a service includes Holy Communion, you’re welcome to come forward for a blessing instead, or simply remain seated. No one will draw attention to what you do or don’t do.

  • St Michael’s is easy to find and well connected by public transport.

We’re located just off Bramhall Lane South (A5102), at the junction of Robin’s Lane and St Michael’s Avenue. The church tower is a local landmark and can be seen from a distance.

    By Train

Bramhall Station is around a 5-minute walk from the church.

    By Bus

The 378 bus from Stockport stops close to the junction of Bramhall Lane South and Robin’s Lane, just a short walk from the church.

    By Car & Parking

If you’re driving, there is ample parking available in our large car park opposite the church.

For SatNav, please use the postcode:
    SK7 2PG

We kindly ask visitors to use the church car park where possible. If you do need to park on the road, please be mindful of neighbouring driveways, busy junctions, and keeping access clear for emergency vehicles.

  • The church has step-free access, and accessible toilet facilities are available.

If you have any specific access needs, please feel free to get in touch — we’re very happy to help.

  • That’s okay.

Church isn’t just for people who feel confident about faith. It’s also for people who are curious, unsure, carrying doubts, or exploring big questions about life.

You won’t be pressured to sign up to anything or agree with everything. You’re welcome to come, listen, reflect, and take things at your own pace.
